Check Out The Most Bonkers Trailer Of 2016 So Far… Atmos Horrox

I’m a big fan of genre-blending. Comedy-horror. Action-thriller. Sci-fi-horror. Romantic-comedy, not so much. But how about this for a mashup…

Experimental satire inside a psychedelic horror film wrapped into a cryptic mystery thriller.

Catchy, right?

That is the genre description given by director Pat Tremblay for his latest release, Atmo Horrox.

The trailer is for the upcoming release at a couple of festivals next month, and the ‘psychedelic’ genre aspect definitely shines through. It’s fucking bonkers. There’s some fella that’s got a head like a rotting potato walking about in tights with balloons attached to his dick, who we later see wearing high heels on his hands and holding a walkie-talkie. Obviously.

But ‘what is the synopsis?’ I hear you ask…

Through a very surreal chase of spying and surveillance, Catafuse, a dubiously dressed “creature”, hunts down specific human targets with the help of Molosstrap. But in a world completely run by the shadowy hands of the pharmaceutical industry, the lines of reality become so blurry and complex, that the mastering of insanity might just be the only way out…

Here is what director Tremblay has to say about the film:

“The movie is a VERY weird one, it’s kind of a psychedelic horror b-movie inside an experimental satire and then wrapped into a cryptic mystery thriller… And because of that, I’ve decided to actually release the OFFICIAL TRAILER first, and only later put out the TEASER TRAILER. I want to make sure you will learn even less by the time the second one arrives, especially since the movie has some rather slow burn gags… The film gives lots of trippy visuals but it’s also a detective job for the spectator to decipher this Mind Puzzle. So be prepared for this reverse and very unspoilery promotion angle!”

So if ‘experimental satire inside a psychedelic horror film wrapped into a cryptic mystery thriller’ is your favourite type of film, or if you like weird shit and being freaked out and confused, this is definitely the release of 2016 for you.

Check out the trailer, and enjoy the nonsense!
